What is the Emerging Professional’s Companion?

The EPC is an online internship resource for emerging professionals. It is primarily intended as a means for interns to supplement and bolster their knowledge as soon-to-be-licensed architects and to earn IDP credit. The EPC can also be employed by ARE® candidates as a means of studying for the exam.

How do I use the EPC to study for the ARE®?

Begin your work with the Companion at any point where you need additional support. You can do the exercises and activities independently, studying at your own pace, or stay motivated working in groups to prepare for the exam sections. Finally, your personal portfolio of EPC work completed during your internship can be reviewed to prepare for the exam.

I want to start using the EPC; how can I get more information?

Using the EPC as a study resource can help you stay on track with your career goal to become licensed. The Companion can help you gain exposure in subject areas where you need additional study, and it can provide a discussion framework for group study.
